Hi,

I have a copy of my grandfathers army records i was hoping someone could look at a page for me and see if they could work out some words for me as i love to know what they say and i have tried to make them out but cannot.

The name of the cottage hospital also the word before taken on the date for that is 19/12/41.

Was he Scottish

it would seem that he attested on 4 November 1940 in Birmingham
Forefits 1 days pay for being absent 6 hours

seemed to have then been 'good' and regularly had 8 days prevlidge leave

No but he did his commando training in Scotland.

Thank you both so much my dad wants me to put a piece together about my grandad what he did in his army years my grandad died in August this year and my dad has all his medals and commando stuff he wants them to go in to a glass cabinet and wants me put in what i find out.

I just could work it ou so thank you for taking your time to look at that for me.
