Could someone please lookup 1880 US census for
Henry Gorton b1837 Gloucestershire, was a Farmer wife's name Julia, census was taken at Fleet Creek Valley Montana (according to familysearch.org)

Yes Ginny, could well be Julia, the year of birth is correct & her children was born in in Stow on the Wold Gloucestershire, so was Hubby Henry,

Thats right, No they didn't take the children dont know why? that's the census for the children
Alfred died in 1888, perhaps thats why the parents came back maybe?

The name is hard to read on the image, but I believe it is Gorton ............ the r and the t are very similar to ecach other, but are also like other t's and r's on the same page.
