Hi Astra,
At this point in time I am concentrating on tracing my paternal line back as far as I can. I had got back to Thomas who is my GGGranddad. Thanks to you I now know my GGGGranddad. I owe you a bottle of wine!
My next move was to trot up to Hawes and Kettlewell where they all seem to come from and have a root round there maybe in the churchyards.

Hello Leon Robert

Will send e-mail tomorrow as we have quite a comprehensive tree of Hawes Ivesons from John, the first Iveson in Hawes records. I have not got proof yet, but think Thomas would be the son of James and Mary, other two brothers of James are possibilities. Three Thomas Ivesons born Hawes near together. IGI lists one as 1797, but he was 9 years old when baptised at multiple family baptism.

Hi Leon
I found the information on the LDS site Family Search.
The reference to a compact disc refers to where the information was found and it may be possible for you to ordet the disc from your nearest Latter Day Saints Centre.

Trying to get information about my Gt. Gt. Grandfather, Thomas Iveson who came from Hawes in Yorkshire. He was a butcher and was married to Ann, and had children named- James, Mary, Henry, Margaret, John, Christopher and William. Christopher is my paternal Gt. Grandfather. He was born around 1790 and in the 1851 census lived in Little Marsden Lancashire.
