Hi all,

I think I have nutted some of it out and i think Kate E and Evelyn were sisters with a nine year gap between them.

From the census returns Kate E Hubbard's parents were Edwin Hubbard and Mary. In the the 1891 cenus Kate is aged 2 and is residing with her parents at Manor House, in the Civil Parish of Withybrook, in the Administrative County of Warwickshire, Rural Sanitary District of Foleshill, Part of.

In the 1911 census Kate is residing with her Aunt and Uncle.

Looking at Evelyn, she first appears in the 1901 census where she is residing with her parents Edwin and Mary at Manor Farm, Foleshill, in the Civil Parish of Withybrook, in the Town of Withybrook and in the County of Warwickshire.

In the 1911 census it appears their father Edwin has died and her mother Mary, Evelyn (spelt Eveynh - and why I could not find her!), her brother Edwin and a brother John are residents at the Folkeshill Workhouse on Folkeshill near Coventry.

I still don't know what happened to Kate after 1915 when Mary was born or why Frederick then upped and married Evelyn.

Cheers

Rach
