My grandparents ANDREW FORRESTER GRINDLAY and MARY REID GRANT CAMPBELL were both born in Falkirk and the families worked in Camelon in the iron foundary. However they and many other families moved south to Burton On Trent for work. I think this was just before the outbreak of WW1. They met each other in Burton On Trent where they both lived in Oxford Street. The whole family including grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins all moved from Falkirk for new employment at the Burton Iron Foundary. In roughly 1933 they moved to Watford, Herts again for work in the iron foundry.

It is the period in Burton On Trent that I can find little information about as want to know what happened to all the other relatives that settled there. Growing up I remember the family referring to a 'Piggy' Grindlay and Wakefield Jail being mentioned but I know no more.
