I don't know how the Marr name came into it, I never thought there would be any other name but Marr, I am quite new to this ancestry business.

I hate to admit defeat, but I just can't see a link on this side of your family Sandra.......... could Marr have come from the Stewart side? It would be unusual for the wife to have a family name added to her husbands name, but not impossible.

There's a tree on Ancestry with him giving mother's name as Mary Julia Danzy but not giving any siblings names.

Thanks everyone for their replies. I was actually looking for the siblings of William Marr. I have found his war papers/grave etc but I cannot seem to find any information about his siblings. I dont know what else to look for.
