Find Ancestors

Having never heard of this until recently, it seems as though some of my family are mentioned in it. I would be grateful if somone who has access could look up the following for me:


Richard Charles West born 1914
Bramwell H. West born 1915

They are the children of William and Selena West and I think the births occurred in New Brunswick. Could someone please confirm this for me? Many thanks.

Thanks for that. I wasn't sure what the Drouin Collection is or where it could be found. I'll watch out for her being around. Very grateful.

Have been in touch with Janey but she doesn't have access unfortunately.

I've looked where she suggests but can't come up with Bramwell in Canada.

There is a death for a Harold Bramwell West in England in 1988 so maybe I will have to go down that track next.

Any advice gratefully received. :)

Thank you Quinsgran. Seeing as Bramwell's second initial was H., I think I will put up a plea re the death in Hampshire just in case he came over to England later in life. I may then be able to get the d/c which I could work from.

Just need a bit of time to stay around here - so it won't be this morning!

Thank you for that. What I can't understand is the RC connection. His father was brought up freechurch - Methodist I think with Salvation Army connections. Wonder if Bramwell's mother was Catholic??

I have recently discovered another daughter born after 1915 who is still living. Would it be possible to see if you can find her if I pm her name to you?

Good morning T. Sorry I had to drop anchor last night - but circumstances demanded it!

Can you give me any advice on finding out about Bramwell's sister and any of the marriages of these Newfoundland folk?

I have a cousin who is to be 50 at the end of November and I am busily trying to complete as much of the West tree as I can. My cousin and his two sons are the last of that particular West line and we know absolutely nothing about our Canadian relatives so I would love to surprise him.

Any help or advice would be so gratefully received.
