Hi. I believe the 1911 census can now be accessed for free in some Records Offices etc. Manchester being one. If anyone happens to be at one of these places could they please look for;

Eliza Gouldbourne b.1892 Age 19. Liverpool district Lancashire.


I have found the index entry for her and would love details of address and others at that property. I think I have been going down the wrong family for a while so this may just be the lead I need.

My Eliza married Patrick Dunn in 1913 but I get the feeling this name is easily mis-spelt.

Do you have any info on where Patrick Dunn was living and whom his father was? It maybe they were close to each other or even lodging together before marriage!

Hi. According to the marriage cert 1913 Patrick Dunn was living at 64 Limekiln Lane and age 22 - Mariner. Dad was Joseph Dunn Deceased General Labourer.

Eliza was down as a Tin Box Maker!! Her dad was a Carter.

You lose your way so easy with these more common / different spelling names!!!!!!

Maybe she knew her father by the name John? Maybe John was his middle name?

Her occupation and her fathers occupation is correct....

I would stick my neck out and suggest she's gotten her father names wrong, it happens....alot!

Oh good. Looking promising because I had my Patrick with a brother Joseph in 1901 (I hoped anyway) and my Patrick's grandson is David so a family name appearing. Thank you so much.

Now you have some data you can more accurately go backwards in your hunt for them....

The Lancs OPC might also be a good place for you to look, their overall search engine is down at the min, but you can still search through all the churches to try and find their baptism records!
