Hi
I am trying to find the online record of Richard James Smith's death. Been to graveyard since I posted last, and instead of being Richard James Smith like on his marriage certificate, his name on the gravestone is James Richard Smith (it wasn't unusual on that side of my family to swap your middle name with first name.
I have tried searching his death with the year for Richard James Smith, James Richard Smith, Richard Smith and James Smith, and nothing is coming up.
Could someone help me find the record online, so I can order his death certificate.
His date of birth is abt 1884, his death was 1 August 1971 (age 87). He is buried in Newbury Berkshire. And I am sure he died there.
Look forward to any replies.
Thanks
Carrie-Anne

Thank you both so so so so much. Is there anyway I can find out his birth place and his mother's surname before I order the certificate from this?

Thanks this could possibly be it. I know his father was James Smith and he was a farmer. Just don't know if Blackburn would be too far away from Newbury for it to be possible for them to meet?
