As I said yesterday I think that would be the best thing to do. If Honora's mothers maiden name is O'Shea then you will know that was the right marriage. If it is not then we have to look for another marriage. |

Mel, thanks for your all your help. I am seeing them this morning so will suggest they invest in a couple of certificates to help establish more information. Honora's birth and then maybe her parents' marriage. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. |

Hon birth will tell you the mothers maiden name if your friend buys the cert from the GRO index should cost £7 |

I can see a marriage of John Frederick Buckley in 1894 to Anne Cannons, but no death between 1891 and 1894 for Margaret Buckley. Not a bigamous marriage please! |

Sorry Mel, too much information for my poor brain to digest at once!! But O'Shea sounds like a good old Irish name for Margaret. |

I think the John Buckley with wife Anne is the one with father Jerimiah as he was a Tailor and here is John and Anne and John is a Tailor. |

Thanks Alan, not sure if she married, but one to write down for future use anyway. No luck on the John Buckley and Margaret marriage? I vaguely remember them mentioning Margarets surname as Collins? |

Thanks Ninjalady, we definitely have an Elizabeth and Margaret in 1891 (now shown as Lizzie and Maggie) so that looks promising. Not sure why head of house, shown as mother, is now called Anne instead of Margaret?! |

I am hoping someone can help please. I am helping a friend and am stuck myself! I have found on the 1891 census John Buckley, Gas Stoker born 1853 Ireland and Margaret wife born 1853 Ireland also. They have various children including 'Honora' born 1880 Woolwich Kent (which i have seen spelt lots of different ways). However, they seem to disappear after this and i am wondering if someone can help find them please. I am unsure when they came to England and cannot find a Marriage for them either. Any help is appreciated. |
