Find Ancestors

Hi Val, that is the same Walter yes. I now have their address in 1911 and it says, peter and Elizabeth had 6 children born alive, and 3 died. That was before Walter died, so there must have been another death apart from the twins. My dad remembers the address as cog lane burnley but how can I find out about the 3 other children with no names, very frustrating.

Found Peter and Elizabeth on the 1911 census with William, Walter and Margaret.
It states that they had 6 live children and 3 have died.

I may be leading you up the garden path if there was a Walter because there is no Walter for this couple and these children were born in Bolton not Burnley.

so the twins were born in 1903 and died and they may have named the boys after the twins.

on the 1911 census all I could find was a Peter with wife Eliza Ann, they had 5 children born alive and 2 died.

thanks rose and all who helped, will go into the 1911 census, I remember asking when I was little about my grandads family as these things always interested me. He would only say there were twins but they died, and my dad knew but no one seemed to talk about them.....sylvia

Have you looked at the 1911 census yet? It will say how many children were born and how many died. How did you find out about the twins?

On your other threads it appears you are working on family stories and and not actual certificates.

thanks to all for replying to my msg. about the kay twins. I do know they were born in burnley. Not having their names makes it difficult but dont think one would be named William as their eldest brother (my grandad) had the name William

Hi ,Peter was born in burnley 1882 and died in 1912, the other children were born in 1902, 1907, 1911. would twins be registered in the births index next to each other, as I found a Alice and Harry Kay born in 1908, but could only find the death of Harry a few months later, they did both have short livesbut that is all i know, thank you for your reply

When and where was Peter born?

Listing the 1911 census details would help. Knowing when the other children were born would help narrow down the births for the twins.

the twins were born in burnley lancs between 1904 and 1911. I have no christian names. They had a short life . Their parents were Elizabeth and Peter Kay
