Sarah.... Mary Fullwood was pregnant at the time of her marriage to Samuel Devine and he possibly did not want the child registered as his...Have you a copy of your grandmothers Marriage Cert...that would show fathers name if any down.

Hiya all,
My Gran is Mary Devine she was born 1912 she pass over in 1994, on her birth cert it says her mum was Mary Fullwood, there is no fathers name, Mary Fullwood was married to a Samuel Devine they were married in dec 1911 in Basford 1911 7B 403 my gran was born March 1912 so her mother was pregnant at the time, i cant understand why her fathers name isnt on the birth cert, how do i find out if samuel is her real father?
