Hi Dea yes thats the one they were married 1836 but in Guernsey it was well known for women to use there maiden name on ducuments in that time Thankyou so much

Hi Dea you are a gem ,Dea to the rescue haha yes that does look like them, Their son would have been about 14 years in 1851 so it looks like he was elsewhere
any chance of the 1841 Dea thanks
Baby Marthe should be on that one born 1840

Just found another child on IGI Marthe born 12/12/1840 and died 1845 in the vale so they must have lived in the Vale in 1841

As far as i know Marthe lived in st sampsons all her life

hi thanks but not them His wife was Marthe c 1809
they both died in st sampsons James died in 1870 and Marthe died in 1871 address given as sur les Banque st Sampsons

Hi,,me again tying up a few loose ends,
Could someone please,find me the 1841/51 census
for James Le Maitre born 2/1/1837 st sampsons Guernsey channel islands
son of James c 1812 and Marthe there maybe other children as Marthe was married before.This is the only child i have,at the mo James and Marthe married 1836 her first marriage was 1829 to Le Poidevin should be in St sampsons
