I have put the marriage details for Harriet & Florence on an earlier post....
BUT without buying the marriage certificate (to find out their fathers name) I can only go by location and guess work that these were your family.

Then it was a case of searching for each woman, using the info we had but changing the surname to that of each of the grooms per registration, and picking the one that fit the info.

You will need to buy the certificates to prove that the Dyer & Foxwell's are part of you family.

Julie, thankyou so much for ferretting all this out. I'm surprised that so much could be found from the female lines, when usually the males are easier to find as they don't change their names! Thanks again.

Did find deaths, in London area, of 2 Samuel Tarrants between 1851 & 1861 (census times) so one is probably his dad, as I can not find the family in 1861

Julie, thankyou! I am certain this is the same Edmund James, wasn't he a naughty 6 year old going by his middle name? He also ran off to New Zealand to become a soldier in the Maori Wars, emigrated to Australia, married, settled down and had 8 kids, and lived until almost 90 years old!He was my Great Grandpa, so thanks for your help in filling in the brothers and sisters names for my tree, much obliged. :)

Hello, trying to winkle out any folk with the surname TARRANT from the East end of London from the period 1800-1860. The only information I have is of an Edmund James Tarrant, B. 1845 in Bethnal Green, London, his father is named Samuel Tarrant, his mother Ann Crawley. Are there any other Tarrants born within this district, such as Stepney, Shoreditch, etc. around this time? I would dearly like to find out if Edmund had brothers or sisters, and if they have descendants around today.
