Find Ancestors

I give in and ask for any help please to find this man in 1861 or even on any other census.
I have his Daughter Ellen mary,mary ellen,mary or ellen, after her marriage in 1881 but he is proving elusive.
So is his marriage and Ellens birth.

Yes I know,but if you check it against other capital S,s written by the enumerator it is an S.
If you flick back a few pages and find a Sarah ,the S is the same,and the Ls have long loops at the top.

I've been doing a general census search for LYR* because L and S are so commonly confused (Sawrence, you'd never have imagined so many people named that; Lawyer for Sawyer in occupations, and vice versa ...)

Also TYR*.

No luck with them, though.

Any witnesses?

We suspect maybe Harriet wasn't actually married to Francis?

Remember old Richard Barnard? Born in Bristol c1821? No trace of his birth or his parents' marriage anywhere?

Bristol in the 1820s is a black hole, methinks.

Errrmmm, its in the post,due tomorrowish,but I do have her daughters birth cert and she is def a Syron on it,even though her names are riund the other way.
Crickey it took me a week to track down her marriage to Forrest as the bride is missing on his page.
So as thats the only one with the right name and place of birth I make the assumption that it is her.

And yes I agree about Bristol as I never seem to have much luck around there,mind you many years ago I did spend a weekend there and ............

might just be

Patrick Siron c1831 born Mayo, Ireland, in Birmingham in 1851

--or not -- there's also a Patrick Syron c1855 Ireland, one c1813 Ireland, a Paty Syron c 1862 Ireland ...

There's a John Siron born c1822, Ireland. And Martin Siron born c1826 in Ireland. And others. And the odd Syren and Siran.

In the IGI, you got yer Mary Syron-s born in Mayo in the 1860s.

Whaddaya think of that possibility? Francis is certainly an Irish name, i.e. not a non-Irish name.
