The last one has been mistrancribed it does say Ogier on the actual census and Thomas is a fisherman.

On the 1851 census Thomas is a coal merchant

I have now been to the Archives and Frederick was Born 12/5/1834 catel Guernsey son of Pierre Le Page and Elizabeth Le Ray he was married 1856 could someone find him on the 1851 census please with his parents he was born castel parish but living in st sampsons at time of marriage ,so it could be in either parish in 1851 ,i also found him on board a ship >Lavinia< in 1854 age 20 years so he was a Sailor all his life,so he maynot be with his parents in 1851 He has a sister Marguerite Elizabeth born 1837 the youngest child that i have found,this could help with the census if he is not there.thankyou so much for help Fredirick has been hard to pin down

yes jerseyliy ,oh well,never mind,I think i will have to take another trip to the archives ,see if i can find his death and marriage,looks like thats the only way i will find out about him.Marguerites son was in the merchant navy also,so it looks like it was in the family,thanks everyone for your help

I had wondered if he was a sailor.

He's not with them in 1871 either, but as you remembered James Pinchemain is. Transcribed as Lepage.
