Pulese was the maiden name of my maternal grandmother. Her father was Italian who came to this country as a young man and married an English girl called Annie Flowers. I'm not sure how many children they had but I have a wedding photograph of my nan's sister, Florence (known as Florrie) and I'm pretty sure she had a brother too. My greatgrandfather - Angelo Pulese - said he was a gondolier from Venice, but Pulese is a Florentine name. He did work as a gondolier at the White City Exhibition (I have a photograph of him with some'young lovelies' on his gondola on the Serpentine). Ann Lodge was my great, great grandmother. I Have no dob but she probably lived in Wiltshire and married Windham (various spellings) Flower(s) sometime in the late 1850s. The had at least 4, possibly 6 children, one of whom was Mary Agnes/Anne Flower, my great grandmother. She maried an Italian, Angelo Pulese, in March 1919 - AFTER their children were born! They lived in West London in the late 1800s and early 1900s and had 3 children, Angelena Maud born 1987 (Lena), my maternal grandmother, Florence (Florrie) and Ethel.
I can provide more information if needed but would love to know SOMETHING about Ann Lodge.
