this makes great sense and explains why john was called kerr as his middle name. I will obviously have to subscribe to sp to get all the info i need but you have opened up a great area of research for me. my mother still lives in durham so perhaps a trip to bonnyriggs would be in order - i don't know how far back the scottish records go but i am very grateful for your efforts. i can't wait to tell my mother as he is her grandfather on the paternal side. |
