Find Ancestors

I am trying to fill a gap in my Family History. Can anyone tell me who resided with William Ralph and his wife Jane. In 1881 they lived at 135 Toll End Road, Tipton, Stafford, he was born around 1844 and his occupation was Boatman.

I would also like to know about his son, another William who was born in 1872. He was 20 years old roughly in the 1891 census. By 1901 he was married and living at 172 Whitehall Road, West Bromwich. He too was a canal boatman. It is quite possible he was still living at home, hence my first enquiry.

Can anyone help please.

Not the right William I'm afraid. Mine married in December 1892 to Lizzie Maydew - I have a record of that, but thanks for trying.

Hi, I'm pretty sure this is my family from other papers I have. William's birth place is given as Oxford but in fact it was Ocker Hill, Tipton. I guess the enumerator mis heard.

Have you his marrige cert ?

His residence at the time of marriage - I do have that certificate - was Ocker Hill. I had absolutely no luck tracing the family in Oxford and think it likely that the census enumerator mis-heard Ocker. Unfortunately that area of Tipton, Staffs. was awash with Ralphs so it is difficult to get a hold of the correct family.
