Still need birth place of Alexander Richardson born 1855 occ shoemaker living with Henry Richardson and family in 1891.

Trying to see if hes a brother of Henry

Alexander is younger than Henry, it could be a brother??

I looked on the 1881 census for both Henry and Alexander......... nothing was coming up on them, not even just using their first names and occupations, or just birth place.

Alexander maybe a witness to Henrys marriage.

Hi Vida,

According to the 1891 census his wife was Mary J, so I'm presuming that Mary Jane Frith is his wife, however I am only going on names and areas. The other 3 names ( there should be 5) are nothing linked to your family, just other people getting married in the same time and area.


And this looks like her death, just prior to the 1901 census;

Difficult to find his parents until you get his real name ,if as was said he changed it

Hi Denise this sounds about the right dates It is my husbands father and we don't know much about his family, he had 2 sisters 1 named Elsie the other named Rene 2 brothers Frank and Alfred
My husband was told that the family came over from Russia many years ago and changed their name to Richardson. We would love to find out if it is true.

Vida - Look at the website Leodis. Basically it has some fab old pictures of Leeds and the surrounding area. Your ancestors were living at 50 Pollard Street. There is a picture of the house on there.
