Hi

My 2 x great grandmother was Fanny FRANCIS (Nee NICHOLLS b 1838 in Penzance, died 24 July 1867 from Consumption and is buried in Madron, Cornwall), daughter of Sophia HILL and John NICHOLLS my 3 x grandparents.

My 2 x great grandfather was Thomas Balch FRANCIS born in Tavistock Devon on 27 July 1836. He was a cabinet maker and was living at Queen Street , Madron, Cornwall in 1851. He married Fanny in Madron on 5 May 1861 but appears to have disappeared when Fanny died as his son Richard FRANCIS (born in Penzance on 30 March 1863) went to live with his grandparents, Sophia and John. I'd like to know what became of Thomas and wonder if anyone can help or shed any light on this mystery?
