This lady seems quite elusive and I am trying to establish the identity of her parents and siblings. This is the Mary Jewel who married Thomas Binning and is mother to Sarah Emma and George Rayson.

Christine - my home PC crashed some three weeks ago, and so until it is repaired my only access to the Internet is at work. The various spellings of STAGLES is quite interesting, although I believe that STAGLES is correct because the marriage of Lydia Binning to William Stagles is mentioned in a copy of a letter I have, written in the 1930s by, I believe, Nellie Altree, granddaughter of Sarah Emma Binning and thus great-granddaughter of Mary Jewel!

I hope to be able to devote more time to this project as soon as my home PC is up and running. Thank you for your help so far.
