The daughters were born in Michigan. The son in Canada French but then something else is written over it which I can't make out.
They lived in Seldon Avenue. He was 22 and she was 21 when they married.
His father was Scottish and mother was English. Her father was Canada French and mother was Irish Free State.
She spoke French and immigrated to the US in 1925.
He was a Tool and Die maker in an Auto factory.

Is this the same family coming to the UK?
Hugh was a 32 year old Tool and Die maker, Hossana ? his wife was 31, Pauline 8, Gloria 6, James 4, Patricia 2, Richard 9 months. They were coming to Aunt Mrs Coogan's house in Wellfield Street, Springburn, Glasgow and were going to stay in Scotland.

I think this is Hugh and Gloria immigrating to the US. He is down as being born in Canada but from 1903 till 1912, he had lived in Cleveland.

Hi Julie,

Please can you click on the purple reply here to respond? You clicked on my name and that means I receive a private message. It's hard to link to the thread when that happens.

Julie,

A US citizen can't be deported so the 1930 must be incorrect and he wasn't born in Mississippi but Scotland. Makes more sense.

Julie
I am also trying to find out information on this family as Hugh and Gloria were my grandparents (I was adopted in 1965) and never got to know them.
Regards
Dale
