Hi, Yes Derek she did - 30 years in fact! I have just found a marriage between a Jane Gammon and a Henry Candwell in Lambeth, Surrey in 1858 so think I am going to take a gamble and see if that certificate is correct and if so, hopefully it will give the name of Jane's father and potential witnesses...... Thanks for all your replies. |

Just in case she was baptised there ,There is this bap; in liverpool on igi i put in jane but this came up and there are no births on bdm for jean |

Has anyone through their research come across a JANE GAMMON born in Warborough, Oxfordshire in 1837/8? I first find Janeon the 1851 census aged 13 years living in Warborough as a servant. She goes on to marry a Henry Caudwell and throughout the rest of her life she is living in Warborough and appears on the census giving a consistent age and place of birth as Warborough. However, I cannot find Jane anywhere on the census of 1841 when she would have been 3. I have tried all variations of spelling and nothing. Would love to know if anyone has come across her?
