1. We have a photo of her and her husband Thomas; can scan and e-mail if you're interested.
2. Thomas Burton, [b 1881] married Edith Valentine Newton [b 1882] in 1905.
3. They had 2 children: Stanley [b 1908] and Kenneth [b1917]
4. Edith died 11/7/1918
5. Thomas remarried in 1920 to Jessie Griffiths[b 1889 in Weston, Runcorn]
6. They had 2 children, Tom [b 25/2/1922/ d 16/2/1994 - this is my wife Carole's father] also Jack [b 1926].
7. Jessie died 23/3/1965 at White Cross Hosp, Warrington
8. Her husband Thomas died 2/9/1946

Thanks a million everybody, especially Christine, who's provided a wealth of information that I'll loook further into. I'll speak to my wife and see if we've got anything about Jessie Griffiths.

I hope I didn't confuse you too much; first time user making silly mistakes. We've done a couple of weeks casual research and have found a number of name/ dates etc. Particularly interested in the marriage of Jack Burton and have got stuck; he doesn't seem to feature in the Runcorn area, despite trawling through the records from 1943 to 1970 [it took ages!]. There are a couple fo Jack Burtons but they're not local to Runcorn, and we believe he never moved far from home......... that may, of course, be a red herring. Again, thanks a million!

Tom and Jacks mother was a Griffiths

Kenneths was a Newton and Stanley was born to early for the information to be recorded.
