I think from what my dad can remember he thinks it was either Wednesfiled, Bushbury or Low Hill. This is still in Wolverhampton but he thinks it was Low Hill. Sorry to be vague but my dad is nearly 80 and cannot remeber things.

Do you know when/where Ronald's sons were born?

Hi the family always called him Ronnie so I persume he was christned Ronald but not sure. My dad always called him Ronnie.

Hi Ricochet I am trying to find out any information about him he had 5 sons but I only know 3 of his sons names. He had a Ronnie,Paul and Christopher. He was my dads cousin and his father was called Albert.

Did he have a second forename?

I guessing now he was reg as Ronald .if so that the name you should use for searches, Has Ronald passed .if so deaths after 1984 are indexed so easier to find and they show the date of birth as given by the informant on the death cert. If he has and you know approx when & where it may be possible to find the death and work backwards. This wont be on Free BMD tho so needs a look through the subs sites

Its a free site that gives the GRO refs which you will need to buy certificates from The general Register Office. Its still work in progress but volunteers are now transcribing records for the 1920/30,s
go to www.freebmd.org.uk and span down the page to the red box search ,click on it and then follow the search boxes. sometimes less is more with the info you put in and also dont put too large a time span in the search ,you can always do several block searches .
