Could anyone please point me in the right direction, I have recently found out that my Grandfather was in the RASC we have no details about any of his army career other than he was in the first and 2nd world wars. I understand the Royal Logistics Corp Museum holds records for soldiers, but is there anywhere on line I may be able to search. He was James Foster born 1898 in County Durham son of George Foster. He married Dorothy Moses in 1920. Thanks for any advice... |

Got your e mail Vera thank you very much it gets so frustrating doesn't it, you just think you are getting somewhere then you realise you aren't. I'll keep trying to find his details though... |

If he served after 1920 (which assume he did having WWII service) then all his records are still classified and with the Ministry of Defence. They are not on Ancestry. |

Richard thanks very much for that info, once I can find out his army number I will certainly be writing to that address... Thanks again. |
