Hi

Rosslind is the name of my husbands paternal great grandmother according to marriage certificate (ref: 3a,2439, Q4 1921 in Thame). I believe her christian name to be Eva.

I am having no joy at all in finding a reference for her in birth certificates or censuses - I am beginning to think my subscriptionto access these things is a waste of time and money as i always end up back here asking for help!

any help would be appreciated.

What is her fathers name please and how old was she when she married?

When was she born and what was her fathers name from the marriage cert.?

If she was born about 1899 then this could be her in 1911 census

it's the only one that showed up, well worth a look I think.

you need to send for the cert next then

what was the name of their children? born where & when

I would advise you to buy the cert. so you can work out her date of birth and it will also give you her fathers name and maybe some other clues which will help trace her back.

there is a Eva Rosslind on the ncoming passenger lists on ancestry but I do not have access to details

The only Eva Rosslind that i can find other than the marriage is on the incoming passenger lists. I don't have access.

None in UK in 1901, only 2 entries on freeBMD does suggest they probably were immigrants.
