I have a John Bagley marrying a Charlotte Margaret Galliard in June qtr 1885 at Monks Coppenhall, Cheshire.

They had a son David John Bagley born/bap 28 Oct 1889 in Runcorn, Cheshire.

Is this of any assistance?

The only thing i'm 100% sure of is David Bagley (1889 - 1954) as i got this information from his son (my granddad) and i got to take some information from his birth and Death Certificate. Thus the names of his parents.

The Bazley names looks so right. However if that name then goes back, then yeah it might be just so similar but not right.

I know that David Bagley spent some time in India when he was in the forces. That might be a reason for missing from some census.

You say you have davids birth cert, Are you sure that is the correct family in 1901.
The surname of BAZLEY seems to be quite consistent.

I am not 100% sure on John in 1881 as date is a bit out. I could not find a marriage for John and Rebecca either.

I've hit a brick wall, can anyone help?
I'm trying to go back through my granddads line, here are the details i have so far: (going backwards, hope it makes sense?)

David Charles Bagley (1924 - 1999) Born Liverpool - Seaforth Barracks

David John Bagley (1889 - 1954) Born RUNCORN Cheshire England. Married Florence Harris. 3 Children together. (middle one being David Charles Bagley (1924).

John Bagley (c1951) Born Runcorn Cheshire? On the 1901 cenus it shows that John is married to Rebecca Bagley, but on there son's birth certificate is says Margaret (could be a middle name?) Only one son and that was David Bagley (1889) as far as i know. (Margarets maiden name may of been Galliard?)

Any information on John Bagley (c1951) would be so helpful. I've searched and can't find any of his family pre 1901 census, but i'm only an amateur at this.
