Thought I would nudge this up as if there are any new members looking into the Price family they may have info on Joseph's death as it still has not been found. To recap he died before the death of his fourth child in November 1852 so working out dates he would have been alive in January/Feb atleast in order to have managed to get his wife pregnant. According to his sons birth record he was residing in London at the time of his death but originally came from West Bromwich. The 1851 census sees him in 3 Walnut Cottages, St. Mary's , Reading, Berkshire. |

I have just found out that Archibald Price died in Edinburgh on 13 July 1883 as a result of a hemorrage due to fracture of the skull the death cert states that he was married at the time to a Jane MacDonald so the marriage would have to have taken place between 1871 and 1883 but despite looking on SP I have been unable to find it. Any help would be much appreciated. The informant was his brother William Salter Price |

1871 the image states Walsall 1861 just states England for Archibald so alteast he is consistent. I have now managed to find Jessies death as I had Williams marriage in 1875 and she was deceased on the cert. Joseph I think will have to remain an enigma |

I wonder if this is him, seeing as there was no father mentioned on marriage certificate: |

I have a Joseph and Janet Price nee Henderson on my tree I think he was born in Scotland but I have just found out from the birth record of their fourth child who was born in November 1852 that he was deceased at the time of the birth and had been residing in London. Janet must have returned home to give birth They were married in 1844 and Janet was born on 19 May 1812 in Roxburghshire unable to find a birth for Joseph as I do not know who his parents were. I do know that they had another son William Salter Price (found this from William's marriage cert unable to find birth). I have looked for them in the 1851 census in Scotland but have had no luck finding them. I wonder if anybody can find them in 1851 in London. Joseph was a reporter |
