Martha married Caroline's widower husband William Moore after the death of her sister.

Martha was a widow when she married William More and her 1st husband was Howe.

I think I have found the first marriage of William 1824 to a Caroline Sellick as Selina was born to William and Caroline.

What was your opinions of the name on the 1861 census please, it dos'nt look like Howe does it?? !!!

So the info I was given was wrong!!!

This sounds more like what I am looking for. I have not entered any of Williams info on my tree as I was'nt sure of who he married. My connection is with his brother.

I have a William Moore 1824 on my tree and on the 1861 census he has a Son in law Joseph Nowe 1847 Faringdon Devon. I presume this is the son of his wifes before he married her.

I cannot find this person on previous census so think the name is mistranscribed.

I am usually quite good at reading the writing on census forms but I would like to know what anyone else thinks please?

I was informed by someone who has this William Moore on their tree that he married Martha Sercombe. This was looked up in parish records. I have William Moore's parents and his siblings.

Perhaps one of you clever girls or boys out there can solve this problem for me please?
