Nothing coming up for 1861 for them at the moment.

I've had a quick look through the census and the only Gilbert Goodwin I can find with the spouse Charlotte was born in 1787!!

I also did a quick check on freebmd and most of the Gilbert Goodwins born were born in the Leicester/Liverpool area - ie up North.

Very interesting, takes a lot of absorbing.

I know a Gilbert Bealey Goodwin married at St Giles in London in 1859
so I thought he would show up on a census in 1861 or 1871 and from there could get the address and other occupants.

So you don't actually know that Charlotte married Gilbert Goodwin.

I wa told by an elderly relative they had seen papers a long time ago.

Im going to order some marriage and birth certs that I know are fairly certain maybe they will enlighten me further.
