Hi just had some info they might be the couple married in St Giles thats Lambeth way I think, in 1859. so if there is a census available around or after that date it could give a clue.

OK. Thanks for looking. Sorry those dates were outside the time you were offering. I have earlier ancestors related to Harold Carty who I'm also trying to find info for. He seems to have a younger sister called Maria b about 1900 possibly although I wonder if this is daughter of Berth Carty rather than Harold's dad amd wife (John Carty and Elizabeth Lunn 1863). Please can you see if Maria is reg'd as Carty or Williams in c1900 please? Thanks. They are in the 1901 census in Liverpool (if it's the same family) and Maria is listed as "grandaughter" of John, Head of house. Thanks very much.

I found the birth of the children below all with mothers maiden name Macey in Eastry and also Edna, Peter, Ronald and Shirley al re registered in 1940 - I assume that was for the adoption record. They are first registered in the years of their birth under Bennett / Macey
After 1937 I can't find a likely candidate for a marriage

I'm trying to find out whether my gran's first husband, George T Bennett divorced her and remarried with a subsequent family. He was born 1898 (I think), married gran Anne/Annie Macey in the Eastry district in 1919, and had 4 children with her (Joseph Macey 1918; Gladys L Bennett D quarter 1920; Thomas G born 1926 died 1932; and little Mary who lived only a matter of days in 1928). I'm assuming that George either died or re-married after divorcing before 1937, which is when Annie took her second husband (Harold Carty). There are a number of other Bennett children (Ronald, Peter, Shirley, Edna) to Annie Macey before 1937, but they were later adopted by Harold (in M quarter 1940) who I'm assuming was their father. So... if you can find anything about George I would be very pleased!
