As Richochet said, in 1911 there is a Sarah A Nattrass aged 10 living in Lanchester

Births Sep 1901 (>99%)
NATTRESS Sarah Ann Lanchester 10a 396a

She won't appear on the 1901 as she was born after the census. The probability is very high that it is this Sarah A Nattrass that married Joseph Close in 1920.

As she was born after the 1901 census you will probably have to buy the marriage certificate to get the details of her father.

You could track her on the 1911 census but to be honest buying the certificate is the only way to be 100% sure of your facts.

What you didn't tell us was that the Sarah who married in Lanchester in 1920 had a second name..........starting wth 'A'

And, living in Lanchester in 1911, there is a Sarah A Nattrass, aged 10.

It is really vital to give every bit of info when asking for help...................

i have found the marrage in the july aug sep of 1920 but just wanted to see if it was the sarah nattrass born 1901.

You need to find the marriage reg'n, and then buy the cert.

It will tell you her age..and her father's name.

The only marriage I can find for a Joseph Close to a Sarah anyone on freebmd is:-

Hi could anybody please help i'm trying to find out if sarah nattrass born in 1901 in seaham harbour is the sarah nattrass who married joseph close. joseph was born 1892 in cornsay durham & died 1981. i would be gratefull for anything. thanks
