i know i'm asking alot but i am a little confussed i have william and elizabeth as having a daughter called elizabeth willmore born 1893?? is there any way of checking the birth record for elizabeth willmore to see if it gives her mothers maiden name?? i have tried to look but can't seem to find anything?

If this is your Elizabeth's birth reg, the only way you will find her mmn is by buying the cert. Where did you get the name Lunn from? Have you found Elizabeth junior on any census with her parents?

You only get mothers maiden name on indexes from 1911. The only way to see mothers name for earlier births is by getting the birth cert Im afraid

i got the name lunn from my dad who told me it was her name but he could be wrong i guess.

in the last post it says elizabeth willmore james elizabeth is that the first names of her parents???

Yes, Trudy, that Elizabeth's parents are James and Elizabeth and there is no other Elizabeth Willmore of the right age on that census. What relation is Elizabeth junior to your father?

THE reason for a marriage for willmore /lunn couldnt be found is
its not william its alfred willmott that married elizabeth lunn in 1882

Trudy, you haven't upset anyone, certainly not me but I am a bit confused myself now.

If your fathers' granny was Elizabeth Lunn, presumably her married name was Lunn. So where does Willmore come from? Your father's mother's birth cert would give you her (his granny's maiden) name. Would you like to post a few details of your father's parents and I will see what I can find.
