REG DEATH BUT NO BIRTH REG?

Hi
I am confused on looking at my grandfathers death registration it says his birthday was 28/11/04 but when looking on the births there is no details of him? How can this be?

Any help much appreciated

The birth date on a death reg is only as good as the informant, so not a guaranteed date.

Researching:
For better results please give all the details ,name, date place as you can {pictures by me }

Look for his birth in 05

Don't forget you have up till 6 weeks to register a birth

Was his mother married at the time?
He could be under a different surname.

I really dont know to be honest, all i have is my grandfathers DOB and date he died. I know he had brothers & sisters but am unable to locate any of these. My father does not know anything about his father's family except the area that he grew up. I know its a massive task with no confirmed dates etc.

You might get some better infomation fron his marriage cert which should give age fathers name etc.

His name was FRANCIS OLIVER CHAPMAN born 28/11/04 died 03/04/74.
He married ANASTASIA HALL born 30/12/06 died 13/10/79.
He was born in London and either grew up in Cricklewood or Lambeth.
He had brothers named Henry, Arthur and a sister called Rose.
My grandmother Anastasia was born in Liverpool and grew up there so at some stage my grandfather has ended up living in Liverpool once they were married.
That i am afraid is all the information I have on my father's history.

Any help is greatly appreciated x
