looking for WILLIAM AXFORD born 1812 came from stoke damerel devonport he was a customs house officer and his wife n family SOPHIA nee bidwell from woolwich kent born 1815. my grandad william was previously married to ELIZABETH TAMAR CHARLOTTE nee kingwell she dissapeared off face of the earth cant find her death anywere, not even a marriage for his second wife sophia, yet they had three children between them and william had 7 with first wife. with two of theirs dying, cud someone please find them in 1851. when he was wed to ETC they lived at jane street st. george in the east which is on a birth cert in 1843. sophia and william had first child 1846. in 1861 sophia and the remaing children lived at Shoreditch St Leonard, Middlesex, at 67 Ely Place sarah died here in 1865, william died in 1852

i typed sarah in and in 1861 says she was born 1853, same people in the household, yet i have her down as 1850 william the dad died 1852

In the 1851, Sophia is down as head, married - as William died in 1852, I wonder if he was in a workhouse hospital in 1851 and possibly just listed by initials? Do you have the death cert for where he was living when he died?

It's amazing...i think it was about a year ago i tried to help you with your Axford family & said to you that to be careful as they semed to be coming up mistranscribed as Oxford ......& you totally dismissed them as not being yours
