Please someone help, am going mad !! On GR marriage index shows Lawrence Percy Todman marrying Esther Elliot in Ticehurst 14/11/1917 Ref 2B 335. Put this info onto BMD and ancestory and you get zero back ?? Have opened up search on other sites taking out surnames then widening dates and nothing ?? What am I doing wrong ? Help please |

On Ancestry the marriages are only transcribed up to 1915. After that you have to look at the complete index and go to the year (1917), then the qtr. (Dec.) then look at the list of all names beginning with the letter T (for Todman). |

FreeBMD are the same as the transcribed records on Ancestry. It is an ongoing project to transcribe the complete birth, marriage and death indexes. |

Is it Lawrence Percy Todman's death you are looking for? Do you have any idea when he died? |

Army records on Ancestry give his Step mother as next of kin if you are trying to find his family and there is ref. to his marriage with witness names |

if you really want to find it on freebmd you can try going to the main page and selecting search images. Follow the instructions - you may be lucky at finding the right batch 1st time |
