From John. i want to find out which john william heap is my father : the one born 1899 at crawshaw booth; the one at burnley 1902....

Q. When did your Dad marry and to whom?

That certificate should give his age and fathers name, so you should be able to decide which is which.

The 1899 one should be on the 1901 census, so we can look that up to find who his Dad was.

do you have your parents marriage cert,if they were married.
if you dont have it ,what was your mothers name so we can look for it for refs please

Just a little advice guys, Don,t bother checking between 1928 & 1938 theres no marriage for john and margaret there either.

From John. got my father's father's name recently from his marriage to his first wife. name robert henry heap. can't find a robert henry heap with a son named john william heap
