	The groom's father is also William and marked deceased. I wonder if the registrar got confused.

	Yes thanks - I HAVE been looking but I can find no more! It would seem the wedding cert 'lied' ?? I can think of no other explanation. I will have another look after Dinner but don't think I will find anything - sorry! Dea x

Thanks for all the stuff you have found so far. It would appear that maybe William wasn't dead at the time of the wedding - could have been a mistake on who ever was filling in the form or maybe he just wasnt there. Anyway, how do I go about getting a baptism check? Where do I go for one of those - is it done online? Su

	its quite true wot mrs grumpy said...and that could be your family unless u get birth certificate. or ask some one on records to do a record office check for a baptising
