I couldn't find John on BVRI either.

Just to let you all know - I have finally traced John Trotman on the Find my past website. He was baptised in 1809 - parents are Aaron & Hester. Must be Thomas' brother.
I am now happy that I have found the missing link !

Hello Sarah,

I have Thomas (1821) and his parents and more family in my tree, Aaron was born in Clyffe Pypard in Wiltshire - it took us a lot of searching to find him!!
I am happy to share my tree with you if you contact me.

It's been a couple of years since Sarah posted this thread and it's doubtful she is checking for replies.

Another thought. If you are looking for connections on this site, then just put the names you are researching into the Search Trees box above to see if anyone else on this site has them in their tree. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner. Cx.
