Gwyn in Kent Report 11 Mar 2009 14:17

A pat on the back for excellent service from the staff at this office.
I e-mailed late at night on Sunday last, asking about the birth registration of a child with a common Welsh first name and even more common surname. I wasn't even sure that I'd got the district right, let alone know a quarter, being spoilt for choice between many in South Wales around that time., -early 1900s.

On Monday I received an email, confirming the information that I'd questioned. I phoned Tuesday, -such pleasant staff, and ordered the certificate which arrived this morning.

I was then able to phone a recently found 2nd cousin and tell her the date of her mother's birthday. This meant alot to her, something she'd often wondered about, but didn't know how to find out, as the lady had died when her cildren were very young.

Well done Bridgend.
