Look you dont seem to be taking notice of what info has been found!! you obviously havent bought the marriage cert which will give you both fathers names and occupations so helping to narrow down the right Edith.
You cant work blindly and expect things to just fall in to place.!!
I am just a genes member like yourself with subs, so willing to help out with look ups but you need to help yourself too

what I have been trying to get over to you is that all your requests have been more like demands - not one please or thank you anywhere on this thread - apart from your opening post when you used the word please

people give up their time to help you - like me most enjoy doing it, but you do not acknowledge anything found for you but follow up postings with more demands

just my take on how it looks

Andrew Wilfred Report 6 Mar 2009 18:47

Andrew Wilfred

Andrew Wilfred Report 6 Mar 2009 18:43

you dont think they have made a mistake as cecil john wrote a book and there was a little bit in it about hes family and he said they were brewers and when i was searching i fond edith mary cutler living with mum and dad william cutler born about 1840 and hes job a brewer so do you think the l in cutler look like a t and thats why we think it might be cutter

Andrew Wilfred

Andrew Wilfred Report 6 Mar 2009 18:32

but i have tried to find edith mary cutter in other census but nothing matches

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 6 Mar 2009 13:45

well according to the marriage its Cutter & have checked that on the actual GRO typed record

Marriages Sep 1896

Cutter Edith Mary Chertsey 2a 102
Eustace John Chertsey 2a 102

If you haven.t got the cert then its essential, in my opinion , so you can check ages ,fathers name etc.
Sometimes too witnesses are a big help as could be family members too

Andrew Wilfred Report 6 Mar 2009 13:22

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 6 Mar 2009 10:12

the 1911 census is pay to view. I looked for Edith with a john living in the same household and the same entry came up each time.
I saw on the 1901 census her place of birth was given as Richmond but thats where they were living so its poss the info wasnt correct I have census info where the place of birth differs each time.
the 1911 census is free to search but pay to view the info

Andrew Wilfred

Andrew Wilfred Report 6 Mar 2009 10:01

also on the 1901 census it says edith m was born in richmond

Andrew Wilfred

Andrew Wilfred Report 6 Mar 2009 09:53

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 6 Mar 2009 09:40

This looks to be her on the 1911 census and her name seems to be Edith Mary
HOUSEHOLD EUSTACE EDITH MARY F 1876 35 Steyning Sussex
So going on from that info this could be her further back.

Her marriage cert should give her fathers name and occupation ,if known, have you looked for her on the 1911 census
