Thanks to all, I am quite new to this, he is known as William and I have searched for birth records under both names. I am assuming the 1901 census record is his. I know he was killed in 1917 in Israel. I really need to confirm his parents names and I can't do that without birth cert. I'll check via his sister Maud and see how I get on. Help, I am really stuck trying to find birth records of Frank William Newnham, from Cheshunt, Hertfordshire dob 1881 Father shown as Harry on marriage cert. I have tried everywhere I can think of to look, I would be grateful for any suggestions - thanks Pat |
