Can anyone help with records of John Bond, engine driver, possibly born around 1845-1856 in Plymouth?? I think his wife may have been Margaret but she could be a daughter or sister.
I know his daughter Elizabeth was married in Plymouth (St. Lukes) to Charles Hill In Feb. 1896 & they lived at that time in Compton Street.

checked original record and clearly states place of birth as Plympton and Occupation as Leading Stoker, so looks to be correct record.

Being a Stoker in the Navy is very much the same job as an Engine Driver, so all seems to add up!

Having trouble finding a birth record for John that fits, however, there is someone on ancestry that is researching this family (descendant of Margaret Bond born 1869 - daughter of John and Ann) and they have the following details:-
