Looking at the other thread, the poster has Rebecca born in Barming as the mother of Ellen Harris.................

I suggest that some re-thinking is called for.....................

Until you get the marriage cert for Stephen and Ellen you can't hope to find out any accurate info.

You seem to be jumping to conclusions without double-checking

I did a lot of research on this for a Steven a while back -if you go to thread 1048256 you will see some of this but unfortunately some has been deleted but enough still remains

Rolling back a little bit, how did you get to Stephen Stevens?

Where is the line to this person, you must have followed them down the census line to get where you are?

Please can you post something more concrete we can look at and then we can maybe help you a little more effiecently.

This i think and maybe's are just not enough to prove anything.

If Stephen was illegitimate, he probably didn't have any siblings.................

Do you have 1881 census details for Stephen?

No i dont think he new his father i think he took his mothers name stevens ? she married a man called Harris after steven was born.

Was his father known to him? The name will be on his marriage certificate

I am trying to find siblings of Steven or Stephen Stevens born est 1832 Maidstone Kent he ended up around dartford and was married to Ellen Stevens they had four children .His mother i think was Rebecca she came from Barming in Maidstone Kent.
