I think you're going to have to get the Kate Mary Berry birth cert and see who her mother was -- i.e. whether it matches with what you know.

I'm not seeing a William Berry + Mary (Mary Emma) marriage either, in Surrey or Dorset. There's one to a Mary Ann E in Dorset, but who knows?
