Hi, Im trying to trace a Harold Thompson who I believe was born in 1916/17, possibly in the Greater Manchester area. He married Gladys Hopwood in 1940 at Salford where they lived. He was a Private in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers in WW II. Cecil Thompson was their best man so possibility of being a brother. |

A copy of his marriage cert might help to name his father |

Thats ok, a copy of his marrriage cert will tell his age, father etc , and give a better idea of where to start looking for him. There are a lot of Harolds on the list, so you need as much real information to start. You dont want to be buying lots of wrong certificates. |
