I've also looked for all males (no surname, no christian name) born 1845 +/- 1yr. in Keevil, Wiltshire.
Living anywhere in England and came up with six, but none the correct one!!

I think it is most likely that the census is lost. Or they have mispelt Douse. I have tried just the first names and years of birth to see if I could find them that way too. Now how else could Douse be spelt or mistranscribed????????/

If his brother Obediah disappeared then could be he emigrated, so maybe they went to visit him?

Thanks for all your help, sometimes all it needs is a fresh pair of eyes. I wonder if there are some census returns for 1881 missing? Maybe they were destoyed or something. I will keep looking though as I would like to find the missing piece. I will have another look at the records abroad maybe they went for a holiday (unlikely but worth a go).

Yes that is him, I wondered that as well so had a look and couldn,t find him I even tried under the wifes maiden name and did,nt find him there either, this is really bugging me! His brother Obediah did the same as well (well actually he totally disapeared ) so it annoying when you have a jigsaw with poeces missing!

Caroline ada (known as ada) born 46 kings cross rd, pancras 1885
Henry george born 25 kings cross road, pancras1873
although one cert says holborn camberwell (caroline ada)
I don,t where they went in 1881 I,m beginning to wonder if they went for a trip in the Tardis!!

I think the only way to find out about James Henry would be to order a birth cert! reference check time again I think!

The only Sarah Jane I can find is the following:-

Douse Sarah Jane Devizes 5a 92
The district Devizes is in the county of Wiltshire

which is possible as both parents were from Wiltshire!

Caroline Ada was born in the district of Holborn, so could be that one of the other children was James Henry?

Yes all five children on 1911 survived up to when it was done. The 1891 I have already and where is says Jemima its actually my grt grandma sarah jane who used various names. I just can,t seem to find the 1881 census for them at all
