Thank you both for that. I have searched GR trees and it appears that no one is currently researching the same people. I have made contact with people researching further back down the Gratton line and have added my tree info to theirs.

I also found the same info on national bmd and Staffordshire bmd on Edmund Gratton Junior's marriage as well as his children. But have been unable to find people researching these names.

on free bdm, this is the only marriage for Edmund

Marriages Jun 1928 (98%)

Bailey Lily Gratton Stoke T. 6b 484
Gratton Edmund Bailey Stoke T. 6b 484
Kear John H Payne Stoke T. 6b 484

The district Stoke T. has been linked by FreeBMD to Stoke and Wolstanton although it is not strictly an alternative name for this district.
Stoke and Wolstanton is in the county of Staffordshire

if you go to free bdm you will be able to look for them

I am trying to find the descendents of my grandmothers siblings/aunts and uncles.

Her name was Elsie Gratton b1908 Tunstall Staffordshire, parents were Edmund Albert Gratton b1867 Burslem and Elizabeth Wood b1874 Tunstall.

Until I started my tree 6 years ago we all thought Elsie was an only child. I have now found out she was one of 5 children. Her siblings were:
Edmund b1899 Burslem
Annie b1899 Burslem
Doris b1902 Burslem
Alfred b1905 Tunstall

Elsie's father Edmund Gratton's siblings were:

- Frederick Gratton b1862 Burslem who married Lila Hood b1864
Children were Harriet b1882, Teresa b1885, John b1887, Thomas b1890, Frederick b1891 and Lilly b1898, all in Burslem.

- Harriet Ann Gratton b1863 Burslem who married Thomas Davison b1862
Child was Mary Davison b1882.

- Sarah Gratton b1865 Burslem, 1st marriage to Noah Stanway b1863 and children were Ellen Stanway b1884, Minnie b1886, Mary b1888, Noah b1891, all born in Burslem.
2nd marriage to John Chadwick b1863 and children were George b1904 and Sarah b1906, all born in Burslem.

-Teresa Mary Gratton b1870 Burslem who married Thomas Errill b1875

- John William Gratton b1875

- Alfred Gratton b1877

I have traced the Gratton line back to c 1670 but would love to find this information.

If you have any information on these Grattons, please get in touch.

Thank you
